Here's a Diary Note for you!
We normally meet during school term times on Thursdays, between 4.00 - 6.00pm, in Room 119 at Richard Lander School.
There will be a computer group on Thursday, 21st March, but not the following Thursday, 28th March, which is the day before Good Friday and clashes with visitors.
After the Easter holidays our first Thursday back is 18th April.
In the IT suite at RLS, we have plenty of modern PC terminals where one can connect to the school's high speed network for internet access. However, each week we invite members to bring their laptops into the class, where, using a mobile 3G router, we can also connect you to the internet, quite independently of the school's network. Invaluable to demonstrate programmes live, and to allow downloads, with helpful folk alongside to guide new users! Mostly PC based, we are expanding our expertise(?) and support of iMac platforms and iPads!
A cup of tea or coffee, with biscuits, is available at half-time!
